Applicant Instructions

Your completed application is to contain:
- Part I of this form printed and completed;
- the personal essay described in Part II of this form;
- a transcript of your high school marks, including at least your final year and the two previous years; and
- a copy of the letter of acceptance from the post secondary institution will be required before any academic bursary is awarded to the receipients.
- The application is to be mailed to:

The two people listed as character references on Part I of the application
should be:
- a teacher who has instructed you or is instructing you in your last year of school; and/or
- an adult who has known you for at least two years and who is not a member of your family.
- Completed applications must be received not later than 31 Oct for the school year.
Part II - Essay Description

As part of this application, you must complete a short personal essay (500 -
700 words). The essay should be about yourself and should include:
- Family background;
- Current activities (academic, club, sports, volunteer, etc);
- Personal interests; and
- Future plans.
- You are also free to include any other items, which you feel would have a positive influence on your application.
- The essay can be in any format that you choose, provided that it be typed or legibly written, double-spaced and on 8½ X 11-inch paper. Your name should appear at the top of the first page.
