MURRAY, Ronald J. G. "Ron" age 70, Bedford. It is with deep sadness that Ron's family announce the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Monday, January 19, 2009, at home. Born in Matane, Que., Ron was a son of the late Odina and Adélina (nee St. Louis) Murray. He served for 30 years in the Canadian Forces, retiring from the RCAF in 1985. He enjoyed an active retirement, as a golfer, bowler, gardener, and granddad. Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Pauline (nee Comstock); loving children, daughter, Chantal Murray-Allen (Barry Allen); son, Michael (Mhairi); beloved grandchildren, Jeremy, Julia and Eilidh. Ron is also survived by his extended family in Québec, including his sisters, Françoise and Marthe Gaetane; brothers, Robert, Renaud and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009, in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bedford Highway, Father Ken Robertson officiating. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
