The Communications and Electronics Newsletter

The Communications and Electronics Newsletter is an authorized, unofficial electronic publication of the Communications and Electronics Branch of the Canadian Forces. It is published twice per year under the authority of the Communications and Electronics Branch Advisor. Views expressed are those of the writers and do not necessarily reflect the opinion or the official policy of the Branch or of the Canadian Forces.

Editor-in-Chief: Colonel S.C. Sibbald, C & E Branch Advisor
Editor: Major D.J.W. Bergeron, C & E Branch Adjutant
Editorial Review: CWO M.M. Dinelle, C & E Branch CWO
Web Page Design: DEAIS - Director - Entreprise Application Integration Solutions

AIM - The aim of the Newsletter is to present practical Communications and Electronics articles, provide a forum where topics of interest concerning Branch matters can be presented and discussed, and foster esprit de corps.

CONTRIBUTIONS, SUGGESTIONS, and CRITICISMS are encouraged. They must be submitted in an electronic format and include a title and the name, unit, position and phone number of the author. Articles may be edited for length and/or content and will be published in both official languages. Submission prior to the announced deadline is encouraged to avoid production delays.

TEXT - Submit your text in an electronic format (e-mail or CD) using the departmental standard software product (MS Word). Spell check before submission and use a preferred line spacing of 1.5 to facilitate editing. Indicate the desired placement of images and include photo captions. Articles are to be a maximum of 700 words in length, unless you wish that your article be considered as the Newsletter’s feature article. In the event that you wish your article to be submitted as the feature article, you must identify it as such to the Editor. As there will be only one feature article per edition, the Editor-in-Chief will make the final selection.

PICTURES - Imageries of all sorts are worth a thousand words, so do not hesitate to use them. We are particularly fond of photos. Please ensure they have an appropriate caption. Electronic photos must have a 300 DPI resolution and must in a jpg format.
