CWO Lavoie's Last Words as SOA

Written by CWO J.F.D. Lavoie

As written by Col Sibbald herein, I will be moving on this summer as the new East Coordinator CWO of the Air Reserve. I just want to take some time to thank all of you for your outstanding support you gave me during these 3 years as the AF C&E Senior Occupation Advisor (AF C&E SOA). I have definitely enjoyed this great job and appreciate having had the opportunity to work with you all. We have accomplished numerous things but lots still needs to be done. To name a few, your involvements in the AF IMST, Award and recognition program, Branch Survey have and will sure change the way we do things, the way we are and the way we will be represented. You sincerely have my gratitude for the support, guidance, and encouragement you have provided me during my time as your SOA.

I am also very pleased to welcome CWO Brian Peever, who is coming in from Cold Lake as the new Air Force C&E Occupation Advisor. I sincerely hope you will give him the same support you gave me. I'm convinced that he will be an outstanding SOA and that he will take every opportunity to assist you when you will need it.

Even though I will miss this present job, I am looking forward to these new challenges and will of course enjoy the rest of my career. Life is good and we need all of you to be part of it.

Thanks again for everything and best of luck in the future.

PS. For many of you, your issues have been heard, noted and will be dealt with but it is important to know that it is now your turn to stand up, face the challenges and take control.
