RETIREMENT - Master Corporal Phil Leblanc CFSCE 00110

1. MCpl Phil Leblanc is retiring from the Canadian Forces on the 12 Feb 2009 after 22 plus years of loyal and dedicated service.

2. Phil is from Yarmouth, N.S. and enrolled in the CF in July 1986. He was employed as a T.E. Tech 222 and LCIS Tech 227. He has served in the following places: 706 Comm Sqn, Borden, On;1 CDN Div HQ & Sig Regt, Kingston, On; CCUNOSOM Joint Forces HQ, Mogadiscio, Somalia; 731 Comm Sqn, Shilo, MB; and he is finishing up his career as an LCIS Apprentice instructor at CFSCE, where he has also been employed in Trg Support.

3. Phil, his wife Deidre and their Furry Family of beloved pets will be settling in Grand Falls – Windsor Nfld, where Deidre will be employed with her parents Sears Store and Phil will be attending a Network Design and Management Course at Keyin College. Phil has opted to change his Release Base to CFB Gander allow him to take Refresher Courses in preparation for returning to school. This has imposed a tight timeline to say farewell as his training commences on 29 Sep 08.

4. A retirement luncheon will be held in his honour at the JR’s Mess, 2 Sadie Ave, CFB Kingston, Ontario on 18 Sep 08 at 1230 Hrs(Meal approx 1300). A nominal contribution of $15.00 will be required for the cost of the luncheon, gift and gratuities.
