Branch Retirement Messages

RETIREMENT - Sergeant Simon Lawson 2 ASG Sig Sqn 00110

1. Sgt Simon Lawson will retire from the Canadian Forces on 15 April 2009, after completing more than 21 years of loyal, dedicated service to Canada and the Canadian Forces as a member of the Signals/Communications Branch.

2. Simon enrolled in the CF in Kingston, ON as a Radio Technician on 12 January 1988. After basic training in Cornwallis and trades training in Kingston, he was off to London (1989-1992), Petawawa (1992 - 2003), Ottawa (2003-2004), and Petawawa (2004- 2009). His last unit was 2 ASG Sigs Sqn in Petawawa as both the Design Cell and IS Maintenance supervisors.

3. Simon and his wife Dana will be staying in the Petawawa area, where Simon plans on continuing pursuing a second career.

4. A casual get together will be held at Danny’s Steakhouse in Petawawa on 2 Apr 09 at 1300 hrs. Dress is casual.
