Branch Retirement Messages
RETIREMENT - Master Warrant Officer Gerry Pellerin ADM (IM) 00329
1. Master Warrant Officer Gerry Pellerin will retire from the Canadian Forces and communications and electronic branch on 7 July 2009 after completing just slightly under thirty-two years of loyal and dedicated service to Canada and the Canadian Forces.
2. Gerry enrolled in Kingston Ontario as a Radio Operator 211 on 28 July 1977 and after recruit training in Cornwallis and trades training at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics he was posted to 1 Canadian Signal Regiment Kingston. From there his illustrious career posted him to places such as: Canadian Forces Station Aldergrove British Columbia, 1 Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Lahr Germany, Special Service Force Headquarters and Signal Squadron Petawawa, 708 Communication Squadron, MACS Trenton, 8 Air Communications and Control Squadron Trenton, 741 Communication Squadron Victoria, 74 Communication Group Headquarters Victoria and finally to Director General Information Management Operations J6 Coordination National Defence Headquarters Ottawa. Gerry also completed operational tours in Cyprus and East Timor.
3. Gerry plans to trade in his combat boots for rubber boots to begin his retirement/second career as a hobby farmer in the beautiful and friendly Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia.
4. Gerry invites his friends and colleges to join him in a round of golf to celebrate his retirement on 19 June 2009 at the Champlain golf course.
