AFCEA Canadian Representation
The Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA) originated in the USA following World War II with the aim of creating a better understanding among defence, government, and industry professionals. It has since grown into a non-profit International Association composed of 40,000 individual members and over 1,000 commercial corporations worldwide. The scope and interests of AFCEA members have expanded far beyond the vision of its military founders, and AFCEA today serves as a broader and ever-growing information technology community representing government, industry, and individual interests.
AFCEA Canada strives to be a world-class Association dedicated to serving the communications, electronics and information systems community. It was incorporated in 1986 as a component of AFCEA International and has a National Headquarters in Ottawa with a Council of Advisors (Board of Directors) drawn from across Canada to guide its activities. AFCEA Canada also has a Program Management Committee that advises the Council on corporate membership matters in Canada.
